About this resource

F4 Mining is a FiveM mining job and miner job script for QBCore, Qbox and ESX: a real mine your players dig in every direction, with pickaxes, rock drills, ore, upgrades and crews.

Players ride a cage down a mine shaft, pick up a pickaxe or a rock drill and carve their own tunnels through the rock. Ore drops to the floor, goes into a mine-only ore satchel and sells at the depot scale — and every level unlocks better tools, deeper cage stops and richer rock. It is a legal job your players will actually spend an evening on.

Works on QBCore, Qbox, ESX and standalone, with ox_inventory, qb-inventory, ps-inventory, lj-inventory and the ESX inventory built in.

A FiveM mining job with a real mine

Four cage stops, from the Upper Seams at 40 m down to The Abyss at 175 m, each with its own hub, lamps, equipment bench and depot scale

A public mine for the whole server where every tunnel stays dug, a private claim for every player, and fresh mines for crews of up to four

514 custom models — sculpted rock, the cage and the shaft, timber, minecarts, the tool rack and the scale

The entrance moves with one command, and a 17 m headframe tower stands over it

Dig in every direction

Walls and ceilings break where you hit them; each hit knocks a dent out of the face before the piece gives way

Weak points glint on the rock — hit one for a critical

Sparks from metal ore, chips flying back, dust that hangs in the air, and rubble on the floor of every dug tunnel

Ore drops to the floor below the rock and is picked up as you walk over it

Floors and the rock between levels never break: nobody digs a pit they cannot climb out of, and nobody falls through

A real cage ride

Entering, changing level and leaving are a ride along the open shaft

The level loads around the stop while the cage travels, and the cage only lands once the floor, the hub and the rock are really there

A crew member who is still loading stands beside you in the cage instead of jumping around

Mining tools and upgrades

Pickaxe, heavy pickaxe, rock drill and blasting charges, each with its own tier, speed and reach

Durability and repairs at the bench, and a free starter pickaxe for every new miner

Tempered heads, balanced hafts, diamond bits, overdriven motors and cooling jackets — paid in cash and in the ore your players dug

Every damage, speed, level and price in an open tools.lua

Ore, the ore satchel and the depot

Coal, copper, iron, gold, crystal and rare gems, each at its own depths

The Ore Book shows where every ore occurs and where it is richest

Crystal geodes deep in the rock, worth bonus xp — and the whole mine hears who found one

A mine-only ore satchel, 40 to 320 pieces in five tiers — your server's inventory sizes never change

The depot scale sells one ore or all of it, at the prices in your config

Miner levels and dig permits

40 levels that unlock tools, cage stops and a deeper dig permit

Every level hits a little harder and swings a little faster

An overview of every miner's record and every unlock still ahead

Crew mining

Start a crew, share the four-letter code, and up to four miners ride down together into a fresh mine of their own

Everyone digs the same tunnels, and everyone sees everyone's pickaxe and drill

Light and atmosphere

Dark at any time of day — weather sync is paused inside the mine and handed back on the way out

Headlamps, and work lamps your players stand in their own tunnels

Flickering hub lamps, drifting dust and dripping water — near the player only, and capped

Built for busy FiveM servers

Nothing in the mine is networked: each client builds only the rock around itself, inside a budget you set

Every hit is checked for reach, tool and speed; drops, xp and money are decided on the server only

A whole mine is stored as its seed and the cells that were dug — kilobytes, not megabytes

Private and crew mines run in their own routing buckets and unload when they are empty

For developers

server/open.lua and client/open.lua — outside the escrow, with the framework and inventory bridge, hooks for job requirements, entering and leaving the mine, ore collected, ore sold and level ups, notifications and the interaction prompt

Every hook also fires an event, so another resource can listen without editing anything

Server exports for mining level, xp, the satchel and which mine a player is in; client exports for whether the player is underground and how deep

Requirements

OneSync

ox_lib

oxmysql — the tables are created on the first start

Optional: QBCore, Qbox or ESX — standalone keeps money as mining credits

Optional: ox_inventory, qb-inventory, ps-inventory or lj-inventory — without one, a built-in mining bag holds the ore

Questions people ask

Is this a QBCore mining job?

Yes — and a Qbox mining job and an ESX mining job. The framework and the inventory are detected on their own, and it also runs standalone, with money kept as mining credits in each player's profile.

Will a full mine lag my server?

No. The rock is not networked: each client builds only the rock around itself, inside a fixed budget, so a crowded mine costs each client about what an empty one does.

Does the ore satchel make inventories bigger?

No. It is part of the mining profile, not the inventory. Your players' own inventories keep their size.

Can I make it a whitelisted miner job?

Yes. One hook in server/open.lua decides who may ride down — a job check is three lines.

Can I change the prices, the levels and the tools?

Yes. Ore prices, upgrade costs, the xp curve, dig permits and mine types are in config.lua; every tool's damage, speed, reach, durability, level and price in tools.lua.

Do players have to download anything?

Only the resource's own models, streamed by FiveM like any other resource, once.

How is it delivered?

Like every FiveM script on Tebex with Cfx escrow: after purchase it appears in your Cfx Keymaster, ready to download.

What is open

Escrow, with shared/config.lua, shared/tools.lua, locales/en.lua, server/open.lua and client/open.lua left open.
